After a very very long wait, Arctic Monkeys have finally given us the first clue in regards to new music, as they reveal the name of the sixth album due for release May 11.
Announcing via their Twitter page, the official channel wrote: “Our new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino will be released on May 11th, 2018. Pre-order special edition vinyl & CD”
Attached to the announcement is a short video which may hint at a new possible direction of what ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ may sound like.
The title itself bears more than a hint to Alex Turner’s side project The Last Shadow Puppets with a poetic and word-y title.
Wait till the end of the vid and you’ll find a blink and you’ll miss it soundbite featuring a heavy bass and hard-hitting drums fans have come to love over synthesised guitar riff hinting at a possible new direction for the boys from High Green, Sheffield.
